Onboarding Process

Step-by-step verification and approval workflow

1

Platform Identification

Onboarding agent identifies which platforms the content creator uses for creating and distributing content.

  • Request direct links to user profiles on each platform
  • Confirm platforms the user intends to use
  • Document content creation plans
2

Profile Review & Verification

Comprehensive review of user's profiles across all declared platforms.

  • Check profile completeness and authenticity
  • Review follower counts and engagement metrics
  • Verify stream schedules and content history
  • Cross-reference with TwitchTracker or similar services
3

Identity Verification (KYC)

Verify user identity through SumSub system and visual comparison.

  • Compare face on streams with KYC documents
  • Verify name, surname, country, and city
  • Compare IP addresses between onboarding and KYC
  • Check for secondary social networks
4

Channel Linking

Mandatory channel authorization to validate ownership.

  • User must link their channel to Destream app
  • Prevents impersonation and fraud
  • Validates authentic ownership
5

Final Review & Decision

Compliance team makes final approval decision based on all checks.

  • Review all collected data
  • Apply rejection criteria from checklist
  • Approve or reject onboarding request
  • Assign risk level if approved

Platform-Specific Verification

Twitch

  • Complete profile with About section, Schedule, Videos, and Chat
  • Check follower count, last stream date, and stream schedule
  • Review VODs (may be deleted by users to boost live engagement)
  • Cross-reference with TwitchTracker for real statistics and consistency
  • Look for natural audience growth vs. suspicious spike patterns

YouTube

  • Featured video, popular videos, and recent uploads on homepage
  • Check upload dates (recent activity expected, not months/years old)
  • Verify channel description and About tab for contact details
  • Confirm linked social media, email addresses match user identity
  • Watch for members-only content or inactive/sold channels

Instagram, TikTok, Trovo, Telegram

  • Check dates of latest posts/streams (should be recent)
  • Request user to publish specific text in channel description during onboarding
  • For private/paid access accounts, require staff access to review content
  • Verify consistency in posting style and content history
  • Look for signs of account resale (sudden topic/username changes)

Users under 18 are automatically rejected. All users must provide valid government-issued identification.

Email Verification

Random character pattern emails (e.g., "qwewqerwqr@somewhere.com") trigger enhanced checks. Disposable or temporary email services are flagged.
